‘Dave The Diver’ Launches Time-Limited Free Godzilla DLC

Dave The Diver just announced a free Godzilla DLC, but there’s a catch. Get it, catch? The Godzilla DLC celebrates the 70th anniversary of the mighty monarch of monsters, interfering with Dave’s tranquil fishing pursuits, yet unwittingly becoming prime ingredients for his sushi restaurant.

The free DLC arrives on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 and 5 on May 23rd, 2024. But make sure to download it before you forget, because the DLC will only be available for a few months until November 23rd, 2024.

Whether this means the DLC will become a paid DLC, or whether it will completely cease to exist, nobody knows for sure. However, it already looks packed with references for super fans of the colossal beast.

In the DLC, Dave is confronted with Godzilla as he is diving in the shadowy depths of the Blue Hole looking for fish. Wariness grips the mighty titan as he senses Dave’s approach, but it looks like he might just need some assistance from an unexpected ally.

Dave will embark on an exhilarating adventure where he’ll engage in a heart-pounding pursuit with Ebirah, the iconic deep-sea Kaiju from the 1966 live-action movie “Ebirah, horror of the deep”. Plunge into the oceanic depths to evade Ebirah’s assaults as the creature relentlessly pursues the submarine carrying Dave and Miki.

Boarding the G-Force submarine, Dave abandons his usual gear to confront Ebirah head-on. Despite his lack of experience in submarine piloting, Dave needs to stay focused to penetrate Ebirah’s shell.
