The Genshin 3.8 Livestream has come and gone, and with fans eagerly awaiting the 4.0 patch for the release of Fontaine, Version 3.8 comes with its own set of jam packed content that will keep fans greatly entertained until Version 4.0. Here is a summary of all the new content.
Character Banners
Phase 1 of Version 3.8 will feature the reruns of the Captain of the Reconnaissance Company, Eula and the Spark Knight Klee. Phase 2 will see the reruns of Sangonomiya Kokomi and Wanderer. Players long awaiting these characters will finally have a chance to pull for them.
New Hangout Event
Kaeya lovers look no further than Version 3.8, as the game is dropping a hangout featuring the mysterious Calvary Captain. Players will get the chance to interact with Kaeya while learning more about him.
Teyvat Style Update ft. Klee & Kaeya
Version 3.8 will also feature new outfits for Klee and Kaeya. Players can obtain Kaeya’s outfit for free by completing the limited event, while the Klee outfit will be purchasable with Genesis Crystals. The outfits are inspired by the play in 3.8 where Klee roleplays as a Witch and Kaeya plays along as a Dagger Bandit.
Version Event: Secret Summer Paradise
Version 3.8 will also feature a limited event called Secret Summer Paradise, where players will get a chance to experience a story based on a play. This play features Klee as the witch who goes on an adventure and meets all sorts of new people before returning home to bottle land.
Amongst the rewards that players can obtain from this event are more primogems, and a copy of Layla and Kaeya’s new outfit. There are also various mini-games and activities that players can challenge on the side. With all these events, Version 3.8 is jam packed with new content for players to experience.
Other Events
Following the main event are several other events like:
- Shared Sight – Players will assist a researcher to collect data for his experiments by retrieving small animals using an item, the Inscribed Mirror.
- Perilous Expedition – Players will assist an adventurer from Liyue to complete his research and exploration of Sumeru.
- Adventurer’s Trials: Advanced – Players will be challenged to complete a domain setup by the Branch Master of the Adventurer’s Guild in Mondstadt.
All these events will further offer players chances at getting more primogems and experiencing more of the world of Genshin Impact before the long awaited 4.0 patch.
Genius Invocation TCG Updates
If you’re a TCG fan, version 3.8 will feature the new character cards of Yanfei, Candace and Kaedahara Kazuha. There will also be a new game mode called ‘The Forge Realm’s Temper: Endless Swarm’ that players can challenge in the tavern. It’s sure to be a load of fun!
Bonus: Fontaine Sneak Peek!
At the end of the special program teased the new area of Fontaine, where players are confirmed to experience underwater exploration and combat. Drawing hype to the amazing city, it further builds players up for what is sure to be an explosive 4.0.
