Indonesia-based game developer Uniqx Studio has officially graduated from the Toge Game Fund Initiative (TGFI) with their game Ngopi, Yuk!.
Ngopi, Yuk! is a mobile game based on the popular Webtoon comic of the same name. Players run a small coffee shop in the suburbs in Indonesia where they must serve drinks to the patrons that arrive in the shop. Players will also be able to unlock the stories of their patrons, as well as unlocking new drinks to invite new customers into their shop.
Ngopi, Yuk! joined the TGFI funding and mentoring program in August of 2021 and completed the program 7 months later. The Uniqx Studio team received mentoring from the experienced team in Toge Productions, who have created many internationally recognised titles such as Coffee Talk and the Infectonator series. They received not only the funding to complete their MVP, but also mentoring in UI/UX design, game balancing, core gameplay development, first-time user experiences, and many more.
The TGFI funding program has become a program that supports the world of game developers whether in Indonesia or overseas. Not only do developers receive financial support, we also receive mentoring and feedback from the mentors based on their experiences. It has helped us immensely in the development of our game. We received lots of new knowledge and feedback during the duration of the program. Thank you to the mentors in TGFI that have taught me many valuable lessons.
Christian Raditya, Game Designer at UNIQX Studio
We immensely thank the TGFI program that has helped us achieve the dream of creating Ngopi, Yuk! in the form of a game. As first-timers in this industry, we received many lessons, especially in the details of games that we have never paid attention to. We hope that the TGFI program will continue to give support and resources to creators and game developers in Indonesia to continue creating. This has been a very invaluable experience.

About Toge Productions
Toge Productions is an independent game development and publishing studio based in Karawaci, Indonesia, established in early 2009 by two people with a common passion for games. Since its early days as a student team project, the studio has always strived to create games that tell stories from underrepresented communities.
Ngopi, Yuk! is the first ever graduate of the Toge Game Fund Initiative (TGFI) program, a funding program created by Toge Productions. The funding program allows developers to apply for a grant that allows them to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of their game.
In order to help marginalized and underrepresented game developers of Southeast Asia turn their game ideas into reality, Toge Productions provides a safety net for them to experiment and iterate. The TGFI program currently focuses on developers from Southeast Asia to help bring attention to the region.
“We are very proud to have Uniqx Studio in the TGFI program and for us to be able to take part in their growth. We see great potential in their future and we look forward to seeing more games produced by Uniqx Studio,” said Kris Antoni, CEO of Toge Productions.
The Toge Game Fund Initiative is always accepting applications. Southeast Asian game developers who are in need of funding and mentoring can send in their pitch decks to the website linked here.
Ngopi, Yuk! is now available on Google Play and can be downloaded here.
