The splendid collectibles and figure galore at the Toys, Anime, Games & Comic Con (TAGCC) is back once more! This time at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on the 22nd – 23rd of June 2019. This one of a kind event that caters directly to toys, anime, gaming, comics and hobbies collectors is still going strong for the second time with more exciting competitions and panels planned out for us.
Here’s what they have in store for fans all around!
Competitions
TAGCC’s model kit and art competition is making a second comeback; this time with the theme of ‘Super Heroes’ for their competition. Sponsored by Toypanic, keep a look out for the winners’ displayed creations on the event day itself!
Furthermore, the TAGCC cosplay competition still remains as a one way ticket to the grand stage of Comic Fiesta’s Cosplay Invitational. With distinguished cosplay judges such as Baobao, Hakken, and Dova don’t miss out on the intense battle as each cosplayer fights their way to the top.
There is also a new competition making its debut this year – a dance competition! They are hosting an Anisong Dance Competition this year with 12 groups participating and ready to show us what they have got!
Special Guests
TAGCC wouldn’t be complete if there aren’t professionals sharing their expertise with us in their respective fields. Panels ranging from the creation of toys to the development of games will be held throughout the day by well-known names such as Jarold Sng, Wan Hazmer and many more.
Webcomics fans and even aspiring future webcomics artist should also check out the panel featuring four of our local webcomics artists – 轻轻松松 (LOK), Nixon Siow, Chuan Koh’s Comic-泉记 and 小幻の涂鸦日志 (XiaoHuan). They will be discussing the future and development of the webcomics scene. Do take note that the panel will be done exclusively in Mandarin!
Not only are there knowledgeable guests passing valuable information onto us, there are also guests ready to grace us with their presence and entertain us with great performances.
The line up is filled with known names like the violinist Luna Lorrain and stage performers like Suzuya Inami, Amelia Khor and Minri. Even Baobao, one of the guest cosplayers will be performing for us too! Alongside Baobao, the adorable twins, Carol x Iris and our local ikemen Hakken will be there too as guest cosplayers!
Exhibitions
On top of all these attractions, TAGCC is introducing a new category of booths this year, the Crafter and Creator booths specially tailored for crafters alongside the standard art booths. This would be a great opportunity to meet the crafters behind their work and learn more about what they do.
Saving the best for last, there will also be a huge display of figurines and collectibles for fans to marvel at! Last year’s exhibition showed an awesome variety of figurines and displays, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store this year. Many figurines, collectibles and limited edition merchandise will be on sale too! So keep your wallets ready for the weekend!
