‘Hotel Transylvania’ is back, baby! Sony Pictures Animation recently announced that the fourth chapter of this wildly successful franchise will be released on 22 December 2021.
This will mark the first time ‘Hotel Transylvania’ has gone toe-to-toe with other holiday season blockbusters – having previously been released (thematically) around Halloween – and 2021 is not a year to be taken lightly.
The movie is expected to release on the same day as the ‘Wicked’ musical adaptation, as well as James Cameron’s ‘Avatar 3’. However, we’re not too worried about this franchise’s ability to rake in the big bucks.
Its previous three movies have grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide with the third one being the most successful one yet, earning a total of $528.6 million globally. If they can do that with their third installment, what’s to say they can’t make history with the fourth?
