Kuzu no Honkai or Scum’s Wish, written by Mengo Yokoyari, will be getting a spinoff manga as revealed in the April issue of Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine, which also featured the final chapter of the series. More information will be released in upcoming issues.
Kuzu no Honkai tells a tale of a seemingly perfect couple, Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya. However, in reality, both are in love with someone else that they cannot attain. Through a chance meeting in the hallway, these two lonely souls spend more time together, eventually deciding to use each other as substitutes for the ones they truly love through physical intimacy.
This manga series has since inspired both a television anime series and a live-action series which were released in Winter 2016/17. Both series adapted the entire story and have just recently ended.
