Indie Cooking Game ‘Venba’ Adds Free Cookbook & Radio DLC

The South Indian cooking game with a ton of heart, Venba released its free cookbook and radio DLC on Steam this week. In this short narrative cooking game, you play as an Indian mom who immigrates to Canada with her family in the 1980s.

As you cook traditional South Indian cuisine and restore lost family recipes, discover the story of a family over the years as they grow and change through a journey of love and loss. Join a mother, father, and their son as they reckon with culture, self-discovery, and acceptance from the lens of an immigrant family.

Those who already own the game can update it now to access real-life recipes for each South Indian dish you make in the game. There is also an in-game radio now, which contains all of the Tamil tracks from the game’s original soundtrack as well as four never-before-heard soundtracks.

Each new recipe and song will unlock progressively as you play through the game, although those who already completed the game once will be able to access all the new content immediately.

The game is also 40% off on Steam, which makes it the perfect time to pick up the game for yourself or a friend who loves narrative games. Wishlist or buy Venba on Steam, and top up your Steam Wallet on Codashop.
