On this year’s 30th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine, it was revealed that the Nanatsu no Taizai manga has inspired a PlayStation 4 video game titled Nanatsu no Taizai: Britannia no Tabibito (The Seven Deadly Sins: The Britannian Traveller), which is being developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The issue also revealed the game’s package design and several screenshots.
This series follows the adventures of Elizabeth, third daughter to the king of the Britannia kingdom, to find the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’. The ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ are a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom and was said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although there were rumors that some were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d’état, capturing the king and becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Now, it is up to Elizabeth who seeks to find the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ in order to take back the kingdom from the Holy Knights.
